Marquee tool in sections/elevations

Hi,

I built a small barrack made of wooden planks, with each plank represented as a different column. The structure has walls, a roof, and some simple geometry. I need to make the whole thing higher and know how to increase the height step by step by adjusting the parameters of the selected objects like walls, columns and elevating the roof with rafters. However, I’m wondering if there’s a way to use a marquee tool to select the upper portion of the building and stretch it upwards, similar to how it works in the floor plan. I could make the entire structure taller with a single click this way.

I can't seem to figure it out. Is this generally possible?

If not in Archicad 18, perhaps in a later version?

thanks!

Operating system used: Windows 18

Kielbasa is right. Elevation should be 3d only once it's chosen from the 3d view menu (elevation/top/right/left/bottom etc)
But once You use the elevation tool, it should work the same as the floor plan...why not?
It’s evident to me that Archicad's strategy is quite clear: each year, they release a new product by adding unnecessary updates, while leaving the more crucial improvements for years to come. I took a closer look at the Archicad 28 add-ons package, and it’s absurd that the "Mesh to Roof" feature is still an add-on, that 3D Studio-in haven’t been made possible as a native import feature, and that a simple geometry creation tool like Profiler is still missing. These tools have been add-ons FOR YEARS; I remember using Profiler in 2008 — 17 years ago.
ARCHICAD...are you serious? I will repeat it everywhere, I'll even write them an email, maybe someone will think about customers a bit more, not only taking care of their money.
