In the surface settings dialogue (Options menu > Element Attributes > Surfaces) you will see a button about half-way down the dialogue that will allow you to change the vectorial fill.
This will change it for all elements using that fill.
If you want to change it only for some elements then you need to duplicate that surface, change the fill and use that new surface on your element.
