Missing Toolbars and Palettes

Anonymous
Not applicable
Every time my colleague and I open ArchiCAD 20 the toolbars and palettes are hidden.

We have been manually re-applying the default scheme in the Work Environment or Hide and then Show the toolbar from the Window menu. These do bring back the toolbars but are a frustrating process for every time a file is opened.

We are on masOS Sierra 10.12.13.

Why is the default scheme not active on opening an ArchiCAD file? How can this be reset?

In the Work Environment dialogue choose the WE that you want.
Press the 'Set as Default' button and then the "Apply Scheme" button and OK.
This will set the WE you want.
What happens now when you restart?

Hi Barry,

Thanks for your advice.

I have reset the default, the toolbars were missing again when the program was restarted. I tried changing to a different default profile with no luck.

Seems like it might be a file permission problem in your OS settings.
Sorry I know nothing about Mac OS.

The work environment in use will be saved in a preference file in your user account.
Seems to me like you don't have the necessary permissions to change this file.
