Is there a way to alter the menu items that appear when right clicking?

unfortunately not directly. there is not just one simple menu to alter - there are many menus depending on the context. i seem to recall that it can be done by hacking the registry settings (anyone confirm?), although i wouldn't advise it!

what are you after in particular?

I remember somewhere there was a Registry entry that you could change that allowed you access to the context menus through the Work Environment editors,

I guess I was just asking in general as I would like to tweak mine if the ability was already there unbeknownst to me. I am sure I could come up with a real personal menu there to help me speed up a bit. Everything little bit helps...

Depending on how much time it takes to set up and maintain the time savers. Always a tricky calculation, and a basic issue with all software.

Here's an older discussion about modifying context menus. I remember it not being very friendly:

I found the registry key and the context menus show up in the Work Environment editor, but I can't find the one I need. What I want to do is, when elements are selected, get rid of the Move... sub-menu and just put all those commands (drag, rotate, etc) right on the main context menu. There are also a couple of commands I want to add.

The problem is that I cannot find any menu or menu chunk that looks like the right-click menu I see on the screen. Any ideas on where it might be found?

In both mac and windoz, the context menu is hard to get at.

You need something to edit menus at the system level - this doesn't seem to be accessible through ArchiCAD's customizations.

For instance, in ArchiCAD 9, the resource and data forks were easily edited in ResEdit, but this avenue seems closed with the structures used in ArchiCAD 10.
