Move objects from layer before deleting it

In previous version of AC (i think AC26 and earlier) if you deleted a layer there was a warning window "move objects to another layer?" Not just delete it with all objects it has...

Could someone please explain why AC doesn't give such opportunity now? Mabe there another work around?

The option is still there. You just need to have objects on that layer. If this doesn't pop up, then there are no elements on that layer.
