Need help- MEP routing and connecting flex duct

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am new to ArchiCAD and I am using the MEP routing tools and I want to connect a flex duct from the diffuser to the duct. I have an 8" diameter branch line and I have placed a diffuser. when I go to connect the flex duct to the round duct it tells me that it won't work because they are different connections. When I create a take-off fromt he round duct and then connect the flex duct it works, so i am assuming that i need to find some sort of connection for the end of the duct to connect the felx duct to. Could someone give me some advice?

thanks

The Connection Type of the Flexible Duct is Simple Body, while that of the Duct Straight (the target) is Flanged.
You should change the Connection Type of the Flexible Duct to Flanged.
So their Connection Type should be the same.
