I have just started using ArchiCad after using VectorWorks for years. In VW, if I draw a rectangle such as the one shown in the attachment, the Object Info palette (which can be left open on-screen) shows me the X and Y dimensions plus the rectangle's area. Additional info is available if I extrude the rectangle to form a slab. If I draw a line, the palette gives me length, etc. Info could be changes in the pallete to modify the object. Is there a similar palette in ArchiCad? (when I click on the rectangle I get a palette with slab thickness, elevation and layer, but nothing else - I can't find a palette that gets me the info I need.
