Object Tool_Preview and Positioning

Is there a current way to get a much larger view of the Object that I'm trying to create/modify in the Preview window?
If not, I'd like to have that added to a Wishlist.

you could try the 3D window?

i'm being flippant - the object preview is in desperate need of an overhaul. as a quick scissors and cellotape job i would be happy if there was a button that launched a live updating version of the 'full 2D' or '3D' windows that are available from an opened object's main window...
