License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Offset Tool

Anonymous
Not applicable
I came upon a problem trying to offset lines for 2D documents. I discovered how to offset these lines, but now when i draw a single line, it is offset by a certain distance. How do i return this back to normal. My snap settings are on, I don't know what I did incorrectly.

How did you offset the line?
The only way I can think of for you to come up with this is if you created a new symbol line type and offse the line fron the origin (placement) point.
If that is the case just select a standard line type in the line settings.

If not I don't think I have ever seen a line that is not associated with its hotspots.

The offset line tool is active for only one use and then switches off automatically.
You have to re-activate it if you want to offsaet again.
But even then the hotspaots are still on the line.

Barry.

Unless you made an "hard coded" offset line. It can work for something (Spline is the best use for them) but usually the result is just weird.

If is this the case, simply revert the line type to Continuous.
