This was an interesting thread to follow. I'm grateful to have had this wealth of information on such a simple and everyday task so fully explored. [Was that an info-mercial Tom?] I haven't got my guideline shortcuts dialed in yet to show only what I want to see. Workin' on it. The screen gets cluttered
very fast with guidelines on all the time, for this user's preference anyway. So I've been in Ben's camp more or less + tracker........
1-start the line
2-invoke parallel/perp via shortcut key
3-hover over appropriate element
4-tab through the tracker to input length +/or angle
sort of a combination of old school/new school. I am still really missing the old "auto-relative" parallel/perp function. Simple was GOOD!
