Pen colours

Pen colours are an interesting topic - well covered on this list over the years. However, I am musing about the impact of colours chosen to represent various line thicknesses. For example, I'd like a combination where the colours become progressively more bold as line thicknesses increase. I've seen one scheme where an 0.1 thick line is presented by a black line, whilst a much thicker line is grey. It could be disconcerting when tile patterns are more dominant than the walls that enclose them!

Does anyone have any thoughts and/or suggestions?

don't you have a national CAD manual (a book, pdf or likewise) that could help you with your personal AC pen settings?
That could be a place to start investigation your concerns ...
