I've been able to create panels that are on the outside but they are still divided by each post (which i want for the top part of the railing), and this divide shows up in facades and sections as extra lines. I've also not been able to make them meet at the corners
I would like to avoid using a railing + a wall if possible.

Instead of using an actual panel for the panel, why not use a tall skinny rail?
It will be continuous and will mitre at the corners.

That worked, a bit of a workaround but it was pretty easy to get the settings right. Thanks!
