SEO Not working on wall

Hi,

For some reason performing a subtraction with upwards extrusion is not working on the gable-end wall shown in the attached picture. The wall cap is the operator and the wall is the target. As you can see, the wall is currently being operated on by a roof (layer turned off) (sub, with downwards extrusion.) I just can't seem to get it to work. I even checked downwards extrusion and that doesn't do anything either.

I'm in Teamwork and have all of the elements reserved. The wall is a complex profile wall; the wall cap/cornice is also a complex profile wall. The end portion of the wall is a complex profile column and is successfully operated on by the wall cap.

Help please!

<edit: sorry, I posted in the wrong forum!>

There is your problem.
Because they are both walls they will automatically trim each other without SEO.
Have a look at your highlighted capping and you will see there is a hole where the wall passes through.
That is why you can not SEO because there is nothing below the wall - just a hole.

Easy to solve.
Adjust the priority strength of the capping so it is higher than the wall.
Now it will cut the wall (instead of the wall cutting the capping) and because the capping is now one solid piece you will be able to use it as your operator in SEO.

That had me stumped for a while once as well until I noticed the hole already cut in the operator.
Then I realised what was happening.
