SEO mesh & ridge lines.

I've cut a hole in a mesh with a slab, via the SEO tool. The ridge lines show up across the hole, even though there is no mesh there. Any way to eliminate those ridge lines. Elevations are different all around the hole.

SEO's do not show in plan view, unless on a Shell. Can you put a cover fill on your slab (eg. empty fill with non-transparent background) to obscure the ridge lines?

Tom,
You could just subtract a hole from your mesh with the subtract tool in the pet palette - this will remove the contours.
It wouldn't be linked with the slab size/position but then neither will the fill that you have added as a mask.
And the hole will be full depth so you may need to add another mesh as backfill under the slab if that is important.

I suggested a cover fill on the slab itself, not an additional fill.

Sorry s2art, I was thinking of just a regular separate fill.
Of course a cover fill will work and will adjust automatically with the slab.
I really should read more carefully.

Not at all.
I have learnt not to interpret too much emotion in e-mails and forum posts.
Messages that are short and sweet can often seem abrupt when all they are stating is what they need to.
I guess that's why someone invented emoticons.
