License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Seriously Annoying Problem with Dialog Box

Anonymous
Not applicable
When I work in Archicad and decide to go online (like f.ex. ArchiTalk) and then go back into Archicad all secondary dialog boxes like for example the "Find and Select" will maximise over both monitors (by the way I have Dual Mon set up). (See attachment)
When I doubleclick on the topbar on the dialog it minimizes in height but not in width (again see pic).
I assume the only way to minimize the dialog would be start with a fresh preferences... but then that won't get rid of the root and the problem would keep reoccurring....
Anybody for a solution?

I've never seen this behavior. AFAIK, the width of the F&S dialog is fixed ... it should not be possible to make it wider.

Have you modified your registry at all, or installed some 3rd party program that modifies dialogs in other programs perhaps?

Might have to reinstall AC...

I have not installed anything 3rd party wise and not changed the registry.
I have a feeling it has sth to do with the dual mon drivers. It is strange that it only maximizes and causes problem after i have gone online and switch from a webpage to Archicad.
I am 100% positive that if i reinstall Archicad i will get the same problem.
I have a feeling i know what is causing it, but i would not know what to do about it.
Archicad automatically refreshes all information on screen - for example if i change the window width in the info box i do not have to press enter, it will every few seconds refresh all information on its own. I think that the problem is caused by the automatic screen refresh (whatever it is really called).
I would not know how to disable this to manual refresh. Oh lord - I miss the simplicity of Autocad.... (Just joking)

Do you have any desktop manager application installed with the driver? These applications sometimes choose to take control over the position of dialog boxes. Try disabling any such tool. As you say, Find and select is a fixed size box.

I have disabled nView Desktop Manager which comes by default with my drivers and that has improved issues slightly. It is def cause by the nVidia driver app.
I tested the setup on just one display and it works fine. I am a little bit surprised that nobody else has had this problem.
Thanks for the help. I can live with it.....
