Shaker Panel doors render as Flat Panel

I can't figure out how to get these cabinet doors (which I built as real doors - D1 27 in real walls - not as 'cabinets') to render as shaker doors.  The settings show the paneling in the line drawing & they show it in the model when I click the actual door in the 3D window - but when I render - they show up as flat panel.

I had a similar issue with the sliding door the left rendering as all glass & discovered I had to turn the 'eye' on for modeling & surfaces in the work environment dialog & info boxes + uncheck any materials shown in model overrides.  I thought that might fix these door panels too but it did not.

I also can't get my 'stainless steel' texture / surface to render anything but black - despite having made a nice looking shiny silver sphere in the material settings.

I just figured out that if I switch the 'Door Leaf' setting from 'Standard 1 Panel' to 'No Grid' it fixes the shaker door vs. flat panel issue.

For the stainless steel issue - I just had to throw away all my old textures & opt to use the ones that came with Archicad 27 instead.
