Skylight Scale Sensitivity

I'm using a skylight object to represent a roof vent in a residential building.

I note the the Section/Elevation parameters have a "Scale Sensitive" setting. When this is activated, no additional parameters appear to set a threshold.

I want them visible on 1/4" (1:50) drawings and invisible on 1/8" (1:100) drawings.

Using a Model View option leaves the hole in the roof visible.

Any thoughts?
