Stair problem

Hello everyone!
How can I create a stair like this? I always get the same message,
cannot create stair with this line of travel,

Yes you were right!!!
It did it when I added the new edge but....
I discovered this is not the stair I wanted since it creates "rests" I dont know the word in english, it only creates straight risers, I want risers that turn so as the stair to have risers without stops - rests.
I tried to curve the line of travel but then it says cannot create stair with this line of travel
