Staircase

I have adjusted a stair to how it is in real life - but I should probably adjust the length of the sides before I adjusted the steps.

Are there now any way I can set the sides correct now, without changing the steps?

Hi

I don't know if I get the point. Can you explain better your final goal? Anyway with edit you can enter into the stair and select just the side and adjust it as you want.

When I tried to adjust the sides - to make them add up with the stairs  - the steps followed and became narrow/changed its size..

I did not manage to adjust only the side.

Maybe I did it wrong..

Is your problem just that the model does not seem to match the blue reference line in you image?

If so, that could be because your model is very far away from the Project Origin.

This is what happens to the same stair if I move it a long way from the Project Origin.

I guess I should have made sure the size of the stair was correct (the blue line) before I started modeling the steps.

Cause you may model and move the steps with no reference to the blue line - but the sides follow the blue line no matter.  And if I shrink the model by the blue line I also shrink all the steps. I thought maybe I could shrink the sides, and then the blue line would follow..

Hi Blue,

if you enter in edit mode, working on a top view. Did you try to adjust the size of the stair? If you select one side you can adapt the perimeter of your stair. If this doesn't work for you and you don't want to do the stair from the beginning then you can try to work with a complex profile for your side and you can assign it to the stair side command.

I have now made the stair again, in two different ways.

Still, I need to be able to adjust the side, because it always gets too short on one of the sides. But I find no ways of doing this..(?) Maybe it is something I do not find?

The stairs you cand edit as much as you want..So I guess the sides should be able to adjust as well-..?

Can you show in plan what you are trying to achieve?
