Stairmaker

I know that this has probably been asked before, but I couldn't seem to find it. Can you now trim a wall to the bottom of a stair (in my case a curved stair) in 8.1?

If not, what is the best way to do this?

Thanks,

Don Lee

Try the SEO (solid element operation) subtraction with upward extrusion. This did not work reliably in AC8.0 (particularly with StairMaker objects) but I haven't tried it with 8.1 (no projects with spiral stairs).

Still as unreliable in 8.1 as in 8.0 in my experience. A bug that I've personally reported using the official channels.

Trim to roof seems to be the best solution at this point in time.

Stairmaker has always been lacking-still is. Hopefully Graphisoft will do some serious work on this important feature.

There is a web site which I seem to remember has a turtorial on something similar to your question. It is a good web site for general AC stuff so worth a long browse.
