Stairs in Plan

While I am in here, I might as well get most of my questions out here.

When I put a staircase in a bldg. on Floor 1, and it goes up to Floor 2 then stops, I want it to show on the second floor that it is going down.

All I can seem to get it to show is either, nothing, or the exact same thing I see on Floor 1.

Is there no setting that reverses it according to wich story it is on, or anything?
Does that make sense?

So I have been just not showing the 3d stair on the second floor of my buildings in plan, and just using drafting lines to draw a symbol in plan that shows there are stairs there and that they are going down.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jess
