Strange Problem with Roof Trim

Hi,

I am trying to create an exo-skeletal building, I have inclined beams laying on the outside of a pitched roof.

My roof is also curved so I have to use the "Roof Trim" function to get the top of the walls to meet the roof correctly.

However, there seems to be a major problem with the "Roof Trim" function because where the wall plane also intersects the beams when "Roof Trim" is applied it leaves big gaps in the beams.

No matter how I draw the beams, what order I do these operations in or if I drag new beams in after having done roof trim these gaps still appear.

Please, Please can anyone help me with this! It will be greatly appreciated!

You need to Add Attachment after selecting the image file.

Also, please do not double-post and try to think what Forum the post would fit best.

Walls automatically cut beams so that is what you are seeing.
When you trim walls to roofs you need to check the check box
"Set Wall/Column top to highest point" in the Trim to Roof dialog.
This will trim the wall to the under side of the roof and prevent
the "ghost" part of the wall from cutting the beams.

Make your beam priority higher than that of the wall.

Thanks very much for the info, however I have just undone the roof trim on the image I sent through bringing the wall right up through the edge of the roof and then redone the roof trim ticking the box you refer to and unfortunately it has done exactly the same thing?!

Make all your layers visible and check again in 3D to see if there is any element that is intersecting with those cut elements.
