Structural grid, I don't get the right axis numbering!

When I define the axis numbering system with numbers in the horizontal axis and letters in the vertical axis, what I get is only 4 letters (A,B,C,D) in the horizontal axis missing the rest of the axis and no letters or numbers at all in the vertical axis.
Does anybody knows what could be wrong?

I think what he is after is the "structural grid", not to create "alternate" layout master with grids.

My brain registered "structural grid".... as I was laying out structural details on a master layout grid.
