Text Editor cuts off top of text

This has driven me crazy since the introduction of the text editor and I don't know if it is platform specific or if there is a way I can change some setting. The text editor hides half of the first line of text such that it is difficult to read and edit the text. Do others have this same issue? Has anyone reported this bug. Please see attached screen shot.

I figured out that this is being caused by the text spacing being set at 75%. Just don't use text with less than 100% spacing
