where I don't see the top part of letters/numbers.
Any idea how to see all of it?
I've tried adjusting the percentage amounts to no avail.

It looks like you have your superscipt button turned on. It's just to the immediate right of the percentage adjuster.

I was so close, yet so far.
Silly me.
Thanks Z.P.R.
However I can't get it to stay off.
I have to click it off each time.
Something has changed.
AFAICT there's no button in the main
Text box which sets the defaults.
I'm I missing the obvious?

Are all text elements like that? What happens when you create a new text element? Does the same thing happen? It might be that text element is corrupt or you are not completely erasing all the superscript text (or converting it but highlighting the text and shutting the button off). Those are my guesses. I can't think of any other reason it might be happening.

Yep, had tried new "text element", even on different saved views to no avail.
Fix was to "suck-up" (suucckup censored, how silly is that?) the properties of corrected placed text block without Superscript on.
That reset the base line to not having default be Superscript on.
Thanks for your help.
