Texture direction resets when saving model as cust. comp.

See attached image. I tried to make a simple cabinet door where the wood panels are in two different directions. Looks good with internal engine and when the door panel is rendered alone but when I make a custom component of it the texture resets...
Why is it so?
BTW, I used the slab tool...

Haha..thank you...or thank you AC10 out-of-the-box rendering abilities. I'm pretty good (...) at rendering but I want to do most of it as close as out-of-the box as possible in order to learn my customers how to do it as well. I think I'm gonna write a small tutorial abou using the mesh tool to create nice looking doors/panels. Maybe some night when there's nothing to work on with the house, no lawn to mowe, no Midsomer murders at the tele...
