Tiff images not plotting? fills on top of .Tiff image

Anonymous

I have inserted .Tiff images in model space (In plan), I have added fills on top of the .Tiff images. I can see everything in model space. I created the view set and placed the the view on the sheet. Everything looks good in paper space. When I plot I can only see the fills and no the background .Tiff.
Is there a setting I am missing for transparency? Is my pen set wrong?
Need help.
Thx,

Are the TIFFs not plotting at all or just where they are obscured by fills?

Hello Again,
I am not using AutoCAD but rather ArchiCAD. (Thx for the rude comment)
The .tiff images are not plotting at all. I can see the fills over the tiffs which are plotting fine.
I have gone back and turned the .tiff images from a bitmap to a gray scale image. That seemed to help but it will only plot sometime. Once I went to save it told me there was not enough memory in the heap zone.
I shall play with this some more...
Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Is this an example of this problem?

Still have the problem. Going to try to convert the image to a JPEG.
Any advise would still be helpful.

Probably not it, but I was having problems plotting tiffs until I started "bringing to front" the image, which was on a master sheet. You case sounds different, but just in case...

Do you have the same problem if you print to .pdf first ? Then print the .pdf?

Converting the .Tiff file to a .Jpeg seemed to do the trick. I have been printing to .pdf everytime in order to conserve paper.
Thanks for all the help.

I have had problems printing tiff images to pdf in the past and found that png format is more universal and seems to work well. Still have an occasional situation where the image shows in the pdf but is dropped in the printing. Creates some confusing phone conversations when I send the pdf files to be printed and the contractor calls looking for the dropped detail.
