Trim wall to bottom of a stair ?

Is there a way to "trim a wall" to a long stair, with several landings, as can be done with a "trim to roof" command.
Yes the work-around of sectioning the wall to landings and slopes that are then aligned with a roof so that they can be 'trimed to roof' can work, BUT ?

Make all the stair flights and the landings operators,
make the walls targets, and SEO with upwards extrusion.

Thanks Peter -
However your good instructions are not yet understandable to this substantially less than geek AC10 user.....
What is an operator, a target, and SEO etc. ?

Again thanks for the directions

Hello Atelier,
I apologize. I made the assumption that you knew about SEO.
SEO stands for Solid Element Operations which is a capability
introduced in AC 8. In versions prior to AC 10 this command
is found at the bottom of the edit menu. In AC 10 it is found
in the design menu.
Please read up on it in the AC 10 reference guide starting on page 202.
Thanks,
Peter Devlin

Hello Paul,
Sorry, another wrong assumption on my part.
I assumed, despite it's meaning in French,
that Atelier was your first name.
Thank you for letting us know your name.

Unfortunately it won't work if your stair was created with an Archistair add-on and has two flights

archimax,
Your statement implies that SEO will work with an Archistair object
that has only a single flight. Is this true ?
Thank you,

I've just printed here :
"Yes, it is. Single flight stairs work perfectly with SEO... but U-shaped stairs are killing me "
...and I was going to post that reply but an experiment with an empty AC10 Template file has totally confused me...... Everything is OK there! But I wasted half an hour today without any result trying to win the battle with a U-shaped stair and a wall below it. And I was forced to create a custom library object 😕
And now everything works fine! Maybe the problem was that my file was converted from AC9. I'll try tomorrow to merge it to an empty file and report the result here...

Sorry, Peter, but I don't get what's wrong with my stair... 😕
You can try to fight it yourself )
