Could somebody please tell me the best way of trimming that wall in the red fence? The wall is supposed to stop underneath the stair.
Thank you for your help!

try using a part for this. ArchiCado: http://archicado.free.fr/

Under the Divers tab, you'll see icons of the parts. there are two walls one straight, one curved that will fit under stairs.

I have found that if you use Stair builder to create the stairs, you will not be able to trim a wall to the bottom of the stair. However, if you are able to use the stair parts, w/o creating a custom stair, then Element subtraction will work. Choose subtract in an upward direction.
A more complex and time consuming way is to place a roof at he same slope as your stair, trim the wall too the roof and then remove or turn that roof off.
Also there is a "wall under.lib" available i believe on objects online. I don't not use this. but can not remember why, there must be a good reason. I
think we purchased it during 6.5 days.

there are 2 ways to solve this problem.
1st: Trim the wall with a roof. Place the roof on a different layer, working in 3d make sure the roof lines up with the under side of the stair, then go edit>trim roof>trim top. Hide the layer containing the roof and bingo.
2nd: use the soild elements operation use the wall as the target and the stair as the operator, choose subtraction with upwards extrusion and bingo again xx
