Two Questions???

Not applicable
I have made the jump from AC 8.1 to AC10. Why can't see a roof in plan view when I draw it? Is there a setting that needs to be changed? It shows up in the 3D but not in the 2D. HELP????

How do I reshape Zones the the marquee and the stretch function?

Thanks,

Brian

AC 10 has several ways to establish the cutplane for a floor plan view.

Study the various Floor plan display options in the roof tool to see which one will make the roof visible in your particular floor plan view cut.

If you have run into trouble with this fundamental change, please review the New Features Guide because there will be many other issues for things, changed in AC 10, that will produce unexpected results.

setting the floor plan display options in the roof default settings to "outlines only" will simulate what you are used to

Raise the floor plan cutting plane above the roof ridge level and save/redefine the view.

Warning: if you do the group editing of the saved views, your cutting plane MIGHT come back to where it was, depending on the circumstances.

Yes, it is saved with a view, although you can't see it stated anywhere in the settings ...

Not exactly stated, but there is a button in the setting dialog box. I think what's needed is named FPCP combos (along with better overall integration with Stories). Same is true for all the 3D settings listed at the bottom of the dialog box. Then these should become Quick Options, along with Dimensions. And while we're at it, all these combos should become attributes that can be accessed with Attribute Manager, along with Favorites.
