Un-linked symbols

I want to bring into my drawing a window symbol that isn't associated to anything but I can't find where the symbol library is.

Can someone help and let me know where to find and place symbols?

Hi Christopher,

you can do this in 2 diff. ways:

draw your 2D symbol with the help of lines and fills, draw a marquee around the elements and save as a patch "Document > Document Extras > Create Patch" (Help > ArchiCAD Help + write "Create Patch Object" in Search field) to then place as a patch object

or ...

do as above and select items to save as an object "File > Libraries and Objects > Save Selection as" (Help > ArchiCAD Help + write "Saving 2D Symbols as Library Parts" in search field) to then use saved object with object tool

You can also look into Object Library 11 > 00 General 11 > Graphic Symbols 11 > Drawing Symbols.

The Label Tool can also be set to independent and then you have a variety of shapes available with and w/o leaders.
