Volume Calculations

Is it possible to take the leftover portion of a mesh that has been operated on by a boolean method and get the volume of the material remaining. I was just thinking about this as I am doing a cut fill study for a project and wanted to get an idea of how much volume of dirt is being moved around. This is more of a theoretical question unless someone has a good idea of how to do this natively.

I was thinking that if you made an object of the remaining mesh then you could extract it to Cinema 4d and maybe get it from there?

Your thoughts and time is greatly appreciated.

Yes.

The fastest way to get the answer to a question like this is just to try it. 😉

Just try the "element information" in the WINDOWS > PALETTES menu.
Or you can set up an interactive schedule.
