What are new tools for ARCHICAD 13?

Hello 🙂
I was wondering if we maybe know what new tools we can expect with the new version of Archicad?
I finaly hope for 3D composite structure layers to be visible, also their 2D representation to be automaticly adjusted to the layer thickness (eg. thermal insulation).
Slab layers and their intersection with wall layers...
Also maybe while defining wall composite layers we can also define each layer height.
Better and more detailed quantity take-off is a must.

I ALWAYS install the new version at least 6 months after the release date or wait at least for second hotfix.
The one year cycle is just for squeezing more money!

good policy.
If you are unable to self-control, just wait for the first hotfix ; here are still thousands of fans to make gama testing for free (just after the beta testing and you pay with your spare time)

Things that I said in the first post, at least for me, are a MUST.
There are so much basic things that AC must finish and stop all this every year updates.

(even if they don't like their ui overhaul, it is still impressive....)

the devil is always in the details but damn that looks impressive ... very keen to see part 2 where they make it parametric.

The UI overhaul seems to be a bit of a PR disaster (regardless of wether it is actually better, i can't comment on that). I would say this is a much more important feature pointing to the future which is just being overshadowed.
cheers,

I agree.

They should cut out all of this new package every year business. I don't know whether its some sort of competition with Autodesk.

Autodesk seem to be even worse. We have been running AutoCAD 09 & its full of bugs. They haven't even been sorted yet & I got a call the other week from my reseller saying that 2010 will be in the post in the next few weeks!

ArchiCAD doesn't seem as bad, but will it be only a matter of time?

I would like to see Graphisoft keep up the annual upgrades and not leave it till the last minute to make improvements.

Who does not appreciate the dimensioning upgrades in V12?

If you are not clever enough to keep a pace with technology
then maybe you should find an old program from 10 years ago
that takes 10 times as long to get a job done.

Some comments here sound as if you are not really supporting
the progress of ArchiCad???

Regards to All.

the AC13 (or AC31?) goals for me are:

1. a tool to make hole in the story to edit and print the elements in the under story
2. mesh to wall add-on
3. Boolean operation represented in 2D window
4. contestual menu to assign one material for any face of construction elements
5. Native rotation on XYZ
6. 3D polyline
7. strech tool
8. 3d polyline to wall/roof add-on
9. move a copy function inside section window

Yeah, impressive!
Did you spot the curved form they started with? AC cannot make it!

If it could make such forms it will be the greatest step forward for years!
