What is the largest Excel spreadsheet that can be pasted and linked into Archcad 11?

Previously in Archicad 10 we encountered problems when we tried to paste a linked large Excel spreadsheets in to an Archicad layout.

I want to create my own tables in Excel and place a linked version of the spreadsheet onto an Archicad layout. The layout is a 24"x36" sheet and the spreadsheet would fill the page.

Has that problem been resolved? Does anyone have advice about doing this?

Hi John

OLE is actually no longer officially supported. The 'recommended' practice is now save to PDF and place the PDF into the project. This is unfortunate because it is no longer directly linked. From what I know, this was not because of Grapshisoft, but because of Microsoft's (lakc of) support of OLE.

What you describe can probably still be done (I haven't tried it in so long), but you may have to look up some old OLE articles here and/or on the Wiki to find that information.
