I can't locate Profiler anywhere - It's in the tools menu on XP. Doesn't exist in the Add-ons menu -Am I missing something??
Under "Edit List Of Available Add-ons" click "Search for more Add-ons..."
It's in ...ArchiCAD 8.1\Goodies\Profiler\Add-On

Thanks Peter - forgot about the Goodies folder - a simple 'Find' would have found it located it there. Sometimes forget the basics

And, just a reminder for anyone with 9.0 reading this .... Profiler is pre-installed in the add-ons folder, so you don't need to do anything to have access to it. At least in the US installation.

Karl,
Thanks for the heads up, you are right it is only pre loaded in the US version. The INT and SWE versions don't have it pre loaded.
Cheers.

Just another reminder that loading Add-ons takes time when starting ArchiCAD. That's why all of the Add-ons in the Goodies folder are not pre-installed in the Add-ons folder.
I would encourage everyone to try all of the Add-ons but only load the ones you would use frequently (like Profiler or ArchiForma).

For instance, the US version only loads 3 MSA detailer PDF's in the Graphisoft documentation folder while the INT version loads additonal PDFs like the Libray Preview.PDF, etc.

Anyone have any idea why the different versions load the software differently? Is Graphisoft aware of these inconsistencies?

Dan,
I'm not sure how it is in other localized versions of ArchiCAD, but in the Swedish version we have even more documentation installed than the INT version.
I guess that it's GSUS that decides what goes in to your version of ArchiCAD? I don't think it's a case of inconsistence more so that it's up to each local distributor, in the case of the companies were Graphisoft isn't represented, of what goes into the local versions of ArchiCAD. Well that's how it works here in Sweden, may be it's different in other countries?
Cheers.
