The road to Digital Cartooning of Drawing Sets commenced in 7, but really didn't start to be viable until version 8. Each release since version 7 (some might say 6.5) have made the need to establish a workflow for producing drawings ever more important.

I beg to differ. The Publisher (and Navigator) in AC7/PM3 worked just fine. It was in AC8 that they broke (for a while). The odd thing was that it was promoted mainly for its web publishing abilities despite the production automation being much more important. It was certainly a huge advance over the earlier Quick Views and Save Special > Hotlinks. Of course I am a bit prejudiced since it was my suggestion originally.

As I recall, but it's been a while now. It was my dream since version 5.0 so I could be imagining things. Perhaps it was just an enhanced Quick Views. I know there was some way to define the views to be saved as PMKs. (I would check but I don't have a machine I can open 7 on any more.)

Yes, there was a Navigator. Publishing was the big feature of 7.

Thanks Djordje. I figured it must have been. As I think about it Navigator had to be there for publishing to work.

Will Microsoft kill Apple when they buy them out?
Oh, I think that may well happen on the same day that the sky falls down.
