Work environment not working

How do get my work environment to do three different schemes ?

I have a 15" Macbook Pro. At the office I have a 27" Thunderbolt display. At home I have a 27" Monoprice brand display.

I set all my views and name them Macbook Pro, Thunderbolt, and Mono. It seems to work at the time that I set it up at that moment. Meaning I can move a window around, apply the scheme, and it remembers it.

But as soon as I go home or come back the next day, the scheme doesn't work. Is there a setting somewhere that I missed ?

Are you just referring to Palette Schemes? (In AC19 these are called Workspace Schemes.) After adjusting the windows and palettes, remember to open the WE, select the correct Palette Scheme and click the Redefine button. You will also need to export the schemes to have them on different computers (they are not part of the .pln file).

Yes, that's what I mean.

I did all of that. I went in and delete the old name then rename the custom to the new name.

The problem seems to be going from the 15" screen of the laptop to the 27" screen of the display. I should be able to set the palette scheme for both, right ?

Yes. After Storing the Palette Scheme, you should be able to select that scheme and Apply it to get the correct window and palette sizes and locations. (A List of Palette Schemes can also be added to a menu or toolbar for easier access.) If that does not work, try describing step-by-step the process you are using and maybe someone will identify the problem.

Hey, I'm revisiting a post from last year because I seem to have the same issue. I'm on version 20 now.

Here are the steps by step description:
I set up the tool bars/ navigator, etc for the 27" monitor
Then I expand all the windows to fit within those tool bars for the 27" monitor
I go to Options/ Work Environment
Set each of the 6 headings (User Preference Schemes, Company Standard Schemes......) by changing the custom to store as "27" monitor"
The one in question is call Workspace Scheme. I make a "27" monitor" for that as well.
Then I go back to Work Environment Profile and click the "New Profile" button
I make a profile and select the pull down menu from all 6 headings to have "27" monitor" and save.

I do the same for the Mac pro screen so I have two profiles: 1- 27" monitor, 2- Mac pro

When I go from working on the Mac pro profile at home and to the office, I switch to the 27" monitor profile by doing this:
Options/ Works environments/ select the profile option and hit "Apply Schemes of Profile " button
The tools does move to the correct place for both but not the "windows"

I've even tried:
Go to Workspace scheme directly and selecting the stored scheme option and hitting Apply Scheme
I've even tried importing and then Apply scheme

The tool bars/ navigator/ etc do go to the right place but the windows don't expand or contract to the correct size.

I hope that explains the steps and someone can figure out where the mistake is. Thanks.
