Only one zone name (of approx. 20) appear in any schedule. What would cause this?
Thanks,
Scott

I think you will need to post more information - maybe a sample file

Thanks for your response as I'm stumped.
In the attached file, the NCS Door & Frame schedule list most of the zones, but not all. In the NCS Window Schedule or list, only 1 or 2 of the zones are listed. For some of the rooms I moved the zone edge further out to the face of the wall (past the reference line), but that did not seem to have any affect.
I'm certain you're busy and I appreciate this.

For some reason when I create a mod file, it saves with the zoom way out. I downloaded the previous uploaded file, and verified that is the case. At your convenience, could you please look at the file again with zoom to fit in window; it should work?
Thanks again,
Scott

The default schedules you refer to don't actually list zones or any part of them AFAICS, so you will probably need to export these schemes settings and upload the zipped XML files too.
Cheers,

as far as the schedules of the zones only -
I used a basic schedule and all your zones showed.
I also set up an interactive schedule and that worked too.
But if you wish to see the zone when scheduling a door or window the zone edge must touch exactly the face of the wall. The merest offset will not recognise the zone

Scott wrote:I just noticed you said this. As I mentioned in earlier post the zone must go to the face of the wall. Best way to achieve this is use the zone update. The zone must be completely enclosed by zone defining elements. Walls or lines or circles.
The zones extend to the reference lines of the exterior walls. Thanks,
Scott
Walls are set by default but lines/circles must be checked to act as a zone boundary

Thanks for your help/time on this as I think I've got it worked out.

Originally I had modified the default schedules to include Zone Names. Also when defining the zones, I had traced the wall reference lines using the Zone Manual Construction Method. I had not used the zone update feature that may have caused some of the problems. One notable repeatable issue came out of this however;
For all exterior doors and windows, the zone had to be placed such that it extended past the exterior wall by a minute fraction, or else the Zone Name would not list in either an interactive door/window schedule or list.
This is a repeatable problem (at least on our workstations) and I believe is likely related to the 10 library doors/windows than zones. Now that we have extended the zones past the face of the exterior walls, all the Zone Names properly list in the Door/Window schedules.
Thanks again,
Scott

Scott wrote:I assume that your doors swing out? There should be a hotspot on the doors to switch the zone it reports (from outside = none) without otherwise changing the door. This will also work with interior doors that are reporting the wrong room (zone) number.
