I agree, it is very desirable to see zone data in sections.

Other than displaying the name of the zone, it could be helpful if you use zones for massing studies at the beginning of projects. That said, because they don't show in section and are not as easily to play with as slabs for example, most use the slab tool at this stage.

Zones do not show in sections and elevations, but in 3D documents they do. You might consider using 3D documents, you can cut the model and show the sections. You can choose the axonometric view or perspective.

And then you can add 2D information.
