We got ours yesterday. One quick question. Due to upgrading just recently from V9 to V11, we are still learning the intermediate portions of V11. Should we install V12 and learn both at the same time. Would that cause any problems? Might be a dumb question, oh well, what do you think.

Thanks ahead for any ideas.

V12 is not much different at all from V11, you could probably learn straight from 12.

I'm not sure if there are any technical issues that might arise from going to V12 from V9, though.

received ours yesterday, started playing around immediately.
seems like working just fine, however I got an error message when working on previous projects (version10), w/ custom libraries. See the attached picture below.
Any idea what is the best approach to this problem.

Thanks in advance

My reseller hooked me up to a download site for the full PPC install package (550 MB!). It installed, and is up and running. No time yet to get deeply into it yet, but at least the installation hurdle has been overcome.

My firm also recently switched from V9 to V11. We are migrating straight to 12 as of this morning. It seems like a very easy transition so far. Best of luck.

Got mine today (7/24/08 ) but gonna wait until the new mac arrives to install.

I'm starting my stopwatch to see if AC13 (AC 2008?) arrives in 12 months

My boxes came today, but I actually installed AC12 couple days ago through a download link provided by a reseller for the 'people who don't have DVD drives'... I really feel the boxes, dvd, and even the manual are a big waste of resources.

I've been using AC12 for a couple of days, and here are my observations so far...

1. Advanced 2d draw options - hardware acceleration causes my text to look a bit 'rough', less anti-aliased and more 'bold' at certain zoom levels. I decided to turn off hardware acceleration for now.

2. Speed - I have a core duo (2 cores), and so far am pretty happy w/ overall speed in day to day work.

3. Favorites window - There are nice horizontal separator lines between each item in the favorites, which makes it easier to scroll through. Little but nice improvement.

4. 3d document and the 3d dimensions - really cool!

5. curtainwall tool - still exploring.

6. splash logo - like it a lot more than v11. No offense to FLW, but that image was way too boring and way too calm...

Sam Wheatley has started a new thread, quoting Dennis' comments below on 'first impressions' over here:

Perhaps to keep this thread for 'have you received the upgrade yet?' - anyone with first impressions or a response to Dennis might reply over there.

Thanks,
Karl
