basin sink not printing

I have used the "Basin Cabinet 11" seven times in my latest project. The sink itself did not print on 4 of them. The cabinet printed, just not the sink. I can't figure out why it prints in some locations and not in others. Anyone else having a problem?

I can confirm that this is happening. I noticed the sporadically missing sinks in a PDF a client of mine just sent me. He recently upgraded to AC11...I was wondering why the sinks were not showing...now I know its a library part problem.

Thanks for confirming that, Dan. So, what you see (on screen) is not what you get (on paper). I guess I can draw an oval on those that aren't printing.

We are having the same problem here in our office. It has happened on two different computers, but only with the same project (that I know of.) This project was started in AC10, then when our office got AC11 we opened it in AC11.

We first noticed the sink printing problem on "Computer 1." At the time, we had just loaded AC11 on Computer 1, and AC11 would crash often. After reinstalling AC11 and upgrading to hotfix 1040, the problem was solved (or so we thought.)

This morning someone else opened the same model on "Computer 2." Once again the sinks shows on the model and in PlotMaker, but *some* of the sinks are missing the basin on printouts. Computer 2 has been using AC11 on many projects, and it's working fine. Computer 2 is also running hotfix 1040.

We first tried unloading the AC10 library and loaded the AC11 library and 10 subset. This did not fix the problem.

We noticed that when printing or using the Amuni PDF converter, the sinks do not appear. When doing File>Save As...>PDF, the sinks appear in the PDF. From here it is possible to print the PDF using Acrobat and the sinks show correctly.

The PDF is a workaround, but does anyone know how to fix this? We're stumped. 😕

I have seen this happen as well. I found that by rotating the object in plan it would cause the sink to dissappear when printing PDFs. I think I found out that MIRRORING the object as opposed to rotating seemed to let it print. If i do it now, rotate and mirror, it works fine. Maybe you need to update your library? Also if you have already updated your library try doing a New and Resest for Archciad, then place the object in the fresh instance, rotate it, then print. If it works then you will need to probably replace all the sinks. Got to love the Find and Select tool!!
