circumference

Hi again, another little question, anyone could tell me how to measure a circumference?

thanks

Circumference = Diameter * pi
Circumference = Radius * 2 * pi
Diameter = Circumference / pi
Radius = Circumference / pi / 2

you knew that.

I use the zone tool to show the perimeter of a circle.

Hi

I have recently had the same need, but it it's right there in ArchiCAD 9.

Select the linear dimension tool and one of the optional methods allows you to create a dimension for a circular object. (sorry - not good at screen captures, but it's the fourth icon for the 'method' after vertical, horizontal, not vertical/horizontal) Click on the object in the usual way to create the dimension, and there it is.

If that's not what you want, then you can select the object, and use the Show element information. This doesn't give circumference of arcs, but, as far as I can recall does give the length of the reference line of a curved wall and its circumference, which can differ significantly!

Cigraph's ArchiRuler doesn't give circumference of arcs.

What I hear from Mike is be sure you know what you're looking at. The Show Element Information window should give you what you need, Steve's sugestion...

should help remove any ambiguity.
