combining curtain walls etc.

Hey all,
I don't know how to start hehe

1)
How to create a building with curtain walls - I know each gridline has a specific width (1200) - in order to achieve a whole-number of curtain wall segments i have to modify the length of the polyline?!
or do you create the polyline and change specific sheme-lines?!



2)
I'm trying to create a rather simple building with just curtain walls.
First i created two zones and than I hit the magic wand tool (not good).
How to combine them? what's the best way to construct that kind of building?
Is here a way to split those curtain walls created by magic wand - cause that never works ;(
