copying complete building on plan ?

blond question for today.
i have a simple house modeled on 5 levels.
i want to on plan, select my house and copy it completyl and make a new copy beside it.
when i select all items on a level, i can only copy the items shown on that level.
and i cant copy in 3d view which is a little silly.
what am i doing wrong ?

Draw a margue around the things you want to copy and be sure it's set to all floors and not single floor.

Instead of using copy+paste, it's probably faster to just drag a copy (use drag command and hit CTRL to allow for copying).
