I would go using the curtainwall tool for this job - custom design.

I tried your solution with curtain wall, but I want to create asymmetric panels on the wall (each panel must be different in the two dimensions, see the first picture) and it seems me that the curtain wall tool doesn't make it....

U can include asimetrical design inside the curtainwall system. Pherhaps u should try modeling your facade as a combo of columns, walls and multiple custainwalls.
