Today my advice differs.
Today, create a domed shell, convert to morph and stretch as needed.

Is this further to your arch/dome issue queried elsewhere?
Thanks for your answer, but I didn't get the last question. The reason why I wanted to use a mesh is that I then need to define the shape of the mesh. I cannot do that easily with a morph... moreover I cannot use morphs yet 😕

generally, when I ave a morph, I don't know how to define its contours. While I can define the shape of a Mesh in 2D, right? I normally do it. Like, I draw a 3D mesh, then switch to 2D, Define Shell Contour.
Also, I can define a hole in a mesh! So, if I draw a 3D mesh, then switch to a section, draw the perimeter of a hole and then select the mesh and apply the hole, I'm done with one of my problems. But can it be done with a Morph? I don't think I can draw holes in morphs freely from a section or from the floor plan, neither can I design its contours, right?

If you can't there is always SEO: Solid Element Operation.

Yeah at the end I created a solid element, substracted it and moved it on an invisible layer to do the trick! Thanks.
