License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

hi, this might be a simple one but i can't seem to figure it out. can some one tell me how to make my elevation show up as a trace reference when i'm in my plan. it seems like i can only use other plans as a trace when in plan and elevation for elevation only.

A way around it would be to goto the settings of your elevation and change the status within [general] from Auto-rebuild Model to Drawing. (dont forget to put this back when your done). This turns the ele into a series of polylines. Copy and paste these lines into a new story level and set this as your trace ref.

Hope that helps

If you have AC11 you can use any view as a reference. Thats the whole point of it! (Copying polylines is so ArchiCAD 10.... )

Right click on the view you want to use and select 'Show as trace reference'

Study 'trace and reference' in the help file for further information about all the options.

See here for how to use more than one view as a reference.

(BTW, Put your AC version and specs in your signature before someone moans at you!)
