line between floors in rendering

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am getting a line showing up on my exterior walls between the wall on the 1st floor and the wall on the 2nd floor when I do a rendering. I am using the Sketch engine in the photorendering settings, Sketch style = Koh_I_Noor and line style is set to 11_Tech_Pencil. It's not there in the 3-D window but shows up when I do a rendering.

any ideas?

Thanks[/img]

I believe this is an issue that does not have a solution with the sketch engine. The only way I have dealt with this is by using a photo editing software to remove these extraneous lines after the fact.

venecasper,
Mike is right...there's really nothing you can do about those pesky lines. However, once you get a little detail in your model they just kinda' blend into the scene and aren't that noticable.

I'm attaching a model I'm currently working on..you can see the floor lines but the rest of the detail sort of cancels them out.

Thanks for the responses. I just don't notice it until I model a house with stucco siding.... it's workable though.

thanks

Dan,

What method did you use to achieve the half timber effect in your model?

Thanks,

there is a way if you dont want to use another program to edit your render.
hide the layer of the floor and extend the height of the wall to reach to the wall of the next floor
