In your 8.1 folders, did you move Mesh to Roof from the Goodies folder into the Addons folder? That should do it. (You can also use add-on manager to load mesh to roof directly from Goodies, as well.)

still, its funny that this add-ons (mesh3roof, profiler...) are included in installation, but not enabled. why do we have to do it manually?
