new object not showing up in elevation

We have two macs in the office. we made a new gdl object. saved it in 3d, no dramas until on one mac we tried to look at it in elevation and it wasn't there. I tried it on the other mac (mine) and it showed up fine in every view so I know it exists.

I don't know what's going on.. I made show it was showing all layers, nothing. I played with the elevation settings and nothing.

what could possibly be wrong?

Is the object in a loaded library that is common to both computers? Does it display in plan view on both?

yes and yes. we actually made it on the computer who's elevations it's not showing up on and the original 3d model we saved it from shows up in elevation fine (it's just walls and slabs etc).

oh god crisis over!... somehow my co-worker made it so the object was 50m in the air. duno how but she did.
